Take Action – Water Shut Off Moratorium Threatened

By Detroit Peoples

Breaking – On Tuesday, October 12, 2020 the Michigan state legislators will meet to consider overturning some of Governor Whitmer’s  earlier executive orders. These orders were related to the COVID-19 pandemic. We are concerned that the legislators may consider cancelling the executive order that maintains a moratorium on water shut offs thru December 31st.

Detroiters have fought hard to bring down the virus infection rates here in the city.  We have followed the rules including wearing our mask, keeping our distance and washing our hands.  We do not want to go back to the days when we had some of the highest COVID-19 numbers in the nation.

Take Action!

Tell them to keep the water on for Detroiters and others across the state of Michigan!
